I’m Here to Support You

My therapeutic practice is rooted in an abiding reverence for each person's inherent dignity and wisdom. Throughout my life, I've witnessed how deep listening, compassionate presence, and skillful guidance can transform struggle into healing and meaningful growth. My commitment to this work stems from a core belief that we all benefit from being supported along our unique pathways of discovery and renewal.

Education & Training

I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Boston University with a double major in philosophy and political science, and a Master's degree in Social Work with a focus on clinical practice from the University of Washington. My education was further enriched through the University of Washington's Graduate Training in Interdisciplinary Collaboration as well as Core Leadership programs, where I also received certification in Human Services Management. To complement my therapeutic approach, I completed ICF-accredited Professional Coach Training through Seattle Coach.

My practice is additionally informed by advanced training in Mindful Self-Compassion, Non-Violent Communication, Buddhist Psychology and Somatic Relaxation.

Executive & Leadership Experience

Before establishing my therapy practice, I served as an Executive Director for a decade and developed expertise as a mental health, life, and leadership coach for over twenty years, supporting leaders and founders navigating complex professional environments. This extensive firsthand experience in leadership positions and therapeutic coaching gives me unique insight into the distinctive pressures, isolation, and challenges executives face. I understand the delicate balance between professional demands and personal wellbeing, and offer a specialized therapeutic approach for leaders seeking to enhance their resilience, decision-making capacity, and authentic leadership presence while maintaining their mental health and personal relationships.

Mindfulness & Contemplative Foundations

My contemplative journey began in childhood, where I discovered how the natural world offered me deeper understanding and belonging. As a young adult, I established a formal meditation practice in the vipassana (insight) tradition. This path led me to become certified through the International Mindfulness Teachers Association and accredited as a Mindfulness Teacher through the Mindfulness Training Institute. I further deepened my practice through the Awake in the Wild Teacher Training apprenticeship program with dharma teacher Mark Coleman, focusing on the intersection between contemplative practices and natural environments. My training also includes One Earth Sangha's Eco Sattva program, a contemplative-based approach to meeting our climate crisis with compassionate presence and meaningful action. These varied influences continue to inform my therapeutic work, bringing depth and grounding to our sessions.
